Aeroflot Airlines won the rating of food on board aircraft, which was conducted by the analytical information agency AviaPort on the initiative of the All-Russian Association of Passengers. JSC Aeromar produces on-board meals for the largest air carrier.

Aeroflot took first place in all three categories studied: service on “flights over seven hours”, “flights from 3 to 7 hours” and “flights up to three hours”. It should be noted that more than half of airlines do not offer meals on flights lasting up to three hours.

From March to August of this year, the specialists of the AviaPort news agency made over 50 flights throughout the country, carefully studying the service on board, as well as the online services of 22 carriers performing regular flights of various lengths. During the flights, the experts evaluated the supply, variety and quality of food, as well as the availability of information on the composition of rations in the economy class of service.

As a result of the study, the experts noted that the top-ranking campaigns offer free varied and balanced meals in flight, inform passengers in detail or in part about the composition of dishes and possible allergens, and also serve rations in convenient, eye-friendly dishes and packaging.

The full results of a large-scale project to assess the quality of service among Russian airlines were published on the website of the analytical company AviaPort.
