A set of Aeroflot dishes for on-board catering, designed by designers Mikhail Chistyakov and Yulia Chistyakova, received the prestigious Red Dot Award design award. The Red Dot Design Award is an international design award given by the Design Center of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia from Essen. This subject design award is one of the most prestigious in Europe, which annually receives about 6000 projects from all over the world.

Within the framework of the international competition Red Dot Design Award 2021, the design project of the onboard tableware "Skopkar "was awarded a high award in the category"Tableware". The authoritative jury, which included famous designers from different countries, appreciated the sense of style shown by the leading Russian airline. The quality of on-board power and its supply is one of the strongest features of the Aeroflot service.

The award was awarded to the entire collection, including porcelain, cutlery, glass, paper and textile serving elements. The transition to the new design dishes was carried out in stages and was completed by the end of 2019. Now sets of this onboard tableware are present on all flights of the airline.

The jury noted the perfect balance of the solution, which meets a variety of requirements important for civil aviation. First of all, it is the continuity of style, compactness, combinability and practicality.

The experts paid special attention to the fact that the concept of Aeroflot tableware is a modern interpretation of the Russian table setting using traditional forms.
